The Alpha We Caribbean Carnival Band was launched On April 22nd 2017, as expected it was a day filled with family-fun, food, music and the main event “The Parade of the Bands” though small it was spectacular. This year was about an introduction to something new, something unique and something beautiful. AlphaWe Art and Entertainment decided to make it the year of the Takeover, an invasion of energy and celebration of the the power of the few.
We showcased the island of St Lucia, birthplace of AlphWe, its majestic flag colors of blue, yellow and black and white were perfect to help us stand apart. Even more vibrant than the colors were the revelers who came out ready to party. Many of you signed up before you even knew what Carnival was about, when you got in, you were absolutely outstanding.
Thank you all for taking the time to be part of our unique idea, and giving Tampa a memory they won’t soon forget.
